Exotic plants... The stranger, the better!
One of the strangest plants that we grew this year is the toothache plant. Coming from South America, it has been used in food dishes as well as for its anesthetic medicinal property.
We've had a pretty active season for flowers. Petunias, nasturtiums, daisies and many more graces the growing racks of our greenhouses this Spring.
One of the things that we enjoy about our greenhouses is that it gives us a good shot at overwintering herbs.
We grow many different varieties and it make it hard to choose which ones will be most desirable.
When it comes to variety, the Basil family is without a doubt the herb with the most diverse number of flavors.

We came across the Gardener's Delight tomato a few years ago and fell in love with them. They are just a bit larger than typical cherry tomatoes, have a wonderous flavor and as indeterminates produce fruit for months.
Sliced in half and easily canned, they make an excellent addition to chili, soups and other recipes calling for tomatoes. They are excellent for making tomato salad.

2026 was the first year that we attempted to grow Sart_Roloise tomatoes. We don't always have good luck with exotic colorful heirloom tomatoes but these really surprised us. They have been blight resistant and have grown very well. The flavor and color needs to be tasted to be believed.
